Wi-Fi HaLow is a wireless communication technology based on IEEE 802.11 ah, newly established by the Wi-Fi Alliance, and is a next-generation wireless LAN technology that can transmit data from various IoT devices over long distances. SystemBase HaLowGate is a wired/wireless gateway bridge that supports IEEE 802.3 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet wired LAN and integrates Wi-Fi HaLow. It converts wired LAN to wireless LAN and provides transmission and reception functions, delivering wireless communication speeds of up to 1.5Mbps within a maximum LOS range of 1.5km. HaLowGate is a device that overcomes the limitations of short-range wireless communication technologies such as conventional Wi-Fi and BLE. By using Wi-Fi HaLow products such as eHaLow/Br, sHaLow/all, and uHaLow, users can build mid- to long-range wireless networks and configure and utilize various M2M networks such as smart grids and sensor networks.
IEEE 802.11 ah (Wi-Fi HaLow), approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance in 2016, is a WLAN technology that uses Sub 1GHz. The 2.4GHz ISM band used by conventional Wi-Fi and BLE has become increasingly congested due to various communication devices, resulting in reduced stability. To overcome these issues, Wi-Fi HaLow uses Sub 1GHz and overcomes the 100m communication distance limitation of conventional wireless communication technologies, enabling mid- to long-range communication of approximately 1 to 1.5km. With its low-power characteristics, it is a next-generation WLAN technology for IoT that offers excellent advantages for sensor networks and M2M communication networks powered by batteries and similar sources.
Remote devices connected through a Wi-Fi HaLow network can be easily communicated with, controlled, and monitored. Through 1:N communication mode and AP communication mode, users can configure and utilize networks suited to their on-site environment.
HaLowGate supports advanced security protocols WPA2-PSK and WPA3 as standard for security. Designed with the characteristics of various sites in mind, HaLowGate provides high device reliability through highly reliable components and design.
Various utility programs are provided for use with HaLowGate.
TestView™: Provides functions to test the communication performance and stability of serial and Ethernet ports.
HaLowConfig: A Windows configuration utility that provides easy and convenient product configuration functions.
