LoRa is a wireless communication technology for sensor networks and a next-generation LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) communication technology that can transmit small amounts of data over long distances. SystemBase rLory is a repeater that relays LoRa communication with a communication range of several kilometers. It can be installed in areas where communication is not possible due to obstacles such as high-rise buildings, tunnels, mountains, and hills, providing a function to relay communication.
LoryNet is a virtual cable platform based on LoRa communication, a type of LPWA (Low Power Wide Area), that connects sensor nodes, converters, repeaters, and gateways to the Internet, allowing communication as easily as reading and writing to a hard disk. It simplifies complicated tasks such as configuration changes when connecting various digital and analog communication methods, including the Internet, and enhances interoperability between protocols. Users can easily configure complex communication systems through simple operations similar to reading and writing data on a PC hard disk. Through LoryNet, a physical virtual cable platform that connects LoRa with various communication methods, sensed data can be used for monitoring, analysis, control, and more from anywhere in the world. It also separates applications and communication protocols through table-based communication, making it easy to use. In addition, users can build a network without separate fees through a private LoRa network operating in an unlicensed frequency band. To support this, SDKs for various environments such as Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and OSless will be provided in the future so that users can easily create and apply customized applications.
Wireless communication has the disadvantage that communication distance can decrease depending on the surrounding environment. In particular, communication shadow areas may occur due to terrain and obstacles such as buildings in urban areas and trees in suburban areas, which can prevent communication connections even in nearby locations. rLory provides a function to eliminate such shadow areas and extend communication distance in these usage environments.
Designed with the characteristics of unstable industrial environments in mind, rLory applies protection measures against electrical shocks such as overvoltage entering from the outside and uses highly reliable components to provide both excellent reliability and high performance.
