CS-LAN is an ultra-compact wired gateway converter that adds wired Ethernet connectivity to equipment using RS232. It supports the IEEE 802.3 10/100Base-TX standard and features a standard RS232 DB9 connector, making it easy to integrate with equipment that already has an RS232 port. It supports communication speeds of up to 921.6Kbps on the serial side and up to 100Mbps on the Ethernet side. It also includes a COM Redirector utility for remote control, monitoring, and data communication with connected devices over a TCP/IP network, allowing existing serial equipment to be used in a networked environment without any software modifications.
With CS-LAN, remote RS232 serial equipment connected over a network can be communicated with, controlled, and monitored with ease. Existing serial equipment can be integrated into an Ethernet network environment without any hardware changes, enabling more efficient operation.
CS-LAN, a domestically built, ultra-compact, high-performance serial converter, incorporates a range of protections against overvoltage and overcurrent to ensure high reliability in unpredictable industrial environments, while using proven, reliable components to deliver both outstanding performance and stability.
SystemBase provides a range of free utility programs for use with CS-LAN.
COM Redirector: A virtual serial port utility that creates a virtual COM port over the network, enabling serial communication without complex configuration or software modification.
TestView™: Tests the communication performance and stability of serial and Ethernet ports.
SGConfig: A configuration utility that makes it easy to set up network settings and serial port operating parameters.
