Multi-8/USB RS232 is a serial communication adapter that makes it easy and fast to add 8 serial communication ports to a system via USB. It supports USB Hi-Speed and serial communication speeds up to 921.6Kbps, delivering compatibility and stability across a wide range of environments.
The LED indicators for serial communication status complement the clean design while also serving as a useful debugging aid. Both DB9 Male and DB9 Female connector options are available to suit different installation requirements.
Multi-8/USB RS232 is used across a wide range of applications, including R&D, office automation, and factory automation.
Through a jumper setting, Multi-8/USB RS232 can supply +5V externally via pin 9 of its DB9 connector, in place of the RI signal line. This approach, pioneered by SystemBase, makes it simple to power devices such as barcode readers directly from the adapter.
This removes the need for a separate power adapter, reducing additional cost while providing a cleaner installation and significant maintenance benefits.
